Summary of key customer requirements prior to arrival of York/JCI tech.
a. Electrical power connected
b. Piping completed
c. y-STRAINER (For the YLAA chiller it is pre-installed)
d. flow switch (pre-installed and integrated on the YLAA)
e. you have appropriate water/glycol flow into chiller per design specifications sent
f. you have installed pressure gauges on your inlet and outlet piping to chiller (so pressure drop can be measured - this will help calculate/confirm flow through chiller)
g. valve(s) in your piping so flow can be throttled down/ if needed
h. you have your heat load (so chiller can be run and adjusted with a load while York/jci is on site).
i. electrical power live to chiller for at least 24 hours (chiller does not have to be ON at it’s controller, but the disconnect needs to be on) so that compressor crankcase heaters have been on.
j. note: don’t worry about the heat trace line item on checklist, also don’t worry about the 115 volts controller power, there is a transformer in chiller
k. Chiller is on level surface with the provided elastomer feet/pads in appropriate locations (the elastomer feet were in electrical cabinet or came in a box)
l. note, please make sure that during start up visit your appropriate people spend some time to get fundamental training on chiller controls and operation.
